Google Apps Engine and using Packagetrackr in your web app

We are briefly mentioned in eWeek today. Unfortunately, the context of the article isn't exactly correct.

So, to clarify, we don't currently have an open API that can be easily integrated into your applications. We're in the final development and testing stages and plan to release the API soon.

We'll post more here once it's available.

Vista Sidebar Gadget

As we mentioned earlier today on Twitter, if you use our Vista sidebar gadget, you may be getting a consistent error message "Load package failed. Would you please try again?"

Last week, we implemented some backend security changes that have created the error as a side effect. Resolving the error on your machine is easy. Simply log out of the Sidebar gadget, from the settings menu, and then log back in.

Sorry for the inconvenience, we've made some changes that should prevent this in the future.
